COVID-19

In these uncertain times for travelling, we would like to keep you informed about the COVID-19 situation in Moldova.

Now, the Republic of Moldova is on the vaccination stage. Around 25% of population is vaccinated with the first doze.
All the restaurants, hotels and travel attractions are opened in a normal working schedule in accordance with all the epidemiological safety rules (wearing masks, disinfection of the territory, social distance etc.).
It is allowed to organize all types of events / conferences / meetings, with a limited number of guests not exceeding 50% of the location’s capacity.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection will establish the list of countries with increased epidemiological risk of transmitting COVID-19, classified as green and red zones. The list will be updated every 7 days, on Friday.

Entry into the Republic of Moldova from countries classified as green areas:

- Passengers crossing the state border of the Republic of Moldova who have spent the last 14 consecutive days in one or more countries classified as green zone are required to present the negative result of the COVID-19 PCR test, that doesn’t exceed 72 hours before entering the Republic of Moldova. Or a confirmatory act of vaccination against COVID-19, presented on paper or in electronic format which is valid if at least 14 days have passed after the second dose of vaccine.
The confirmation is presented on paper or in electronic format in one of the following languages: Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian.
In case the passengers do not have the negative result of the PCR COVID-19 test, they will respect the self-isolation regime with a duration of 14 days.

Entry into the Republic of Moldova from countries classified as red zone:

- Passengers who cross the state border of the Republic of Moldova and come from countries classified as red zones (including those who have transited countries classified as green zones) will respect the self-isolation regime with a duration of 14 days.

Exceptions to the provisions are established for persons that present a confirmatory act of vaccination against COVID-19, presented on paper or in electronic format which is valid if at least 14 days have passed after the second dose of vaccine.
Or if they present a confirmation of the presence of antibodies antiCOVID-19, in one of the following languages: Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian. The confirmatory document, presented on paper or in electronic format, is valid for a period of 90 days from the date of the investigation.
